First look at your insurance!!!!! What doctors are on the list?…if you go outside your plan, this can be VERY costly!!!! Ask someone in the medical field who they would recommend. Do you have any medical issues in you family? You may want to look into a specialist as a primary care doctor. I go this book, “Healthcare for Less” by Michelle Katz which goes through this process. I have actually recommended it to some of my patients that do not have insurance as well as those that have insurance and they found some great ways to save money and get a great doctor….people have no idea that if you establish a good relationship with your doctor, they are more than likely to cut you breaks on your medical bill and be your best advocate!!!! The book also mentions some great websites that rank doctors.
